I once new a very cool gal. We got along just fine, had fun. We were lovers for a while at a time when both of us needed someone that would just be there for us.
We were together in the biblical sense one time and really groovin' it. When she says, 'You know, that really feels good, but I don't feel so well. I think I need something. Do you have a candy bar, a Hershey's, or a coke?" I reply no, but that I could get her one. "What's going on?" "My blood sugar is plummeting!", she said.
There was a time in the early '60's, a time of no concern. I was a youngun', only knew what I was told. And I was expected to do what I was told. There was no way out of that. A report card from the 2nd grade was taken home to be signed by my mom and dad and returned to Miss Elliot's class. Instead, the card was returned to Mr. Cooper, the principal, by my dad with me in tow. Seems I had flunked conduct on that report card. Dad insisted on setting things right.
This is an actual radio ad for a CHL, concealed handgun license, for an instructor in Texas. Mr. Keller has been contacted by the Texas DPS, Dept of Public Safety, in an preliminary investigation of discrimination.
It's November, fishers! Here in Texas, anyway. The weather has changed, and that will change how things happen in nature. The flounder, flatfish, will start to stage for a run to deeper and warmer waters. They will be grouping up to leave the bays through small cuts or large passes into the gulf. A very popular spot for the November flounder is Seawolf Park near Galveston. You need to go there! But first get a license and check this site.
I've been looking around the blogosphere of late and have noticed some grave markers, old, enept, blog addresses. Some, even for a price. Yeah, dead blogs are a primo purchase.
I've been trying to blog since 08/2004. Trying. A lot of trying to keep up. Disappeared a few times. Lied about shuttering the joint. But I really didn't want to. Truth is, it's a lot of pressure touching the masses with poignant insights in an over-internetted, max-googled society. Who the fuck wants to read shit like this?
And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death....
I wish someone, someone, anyone would explain just how things have gotten this bad. Why are we punishing our own for doing what we expect them to do? Why is someone in charge of an agency when that someone has absolutely zero experience in that area?
Horrible weather here this morning. 55º. Where did Fall go?
All damn summer it was in or near the century mark. I was in Abilene prettiest wimmen I ever seen, Texas, last summer and it was 109º+. I remember reading that Texas had over 45 straight days of 100º weather. That was followed by a drop of an average 12º.
Eighty five degrees is not Fall weather! I have been robbed of the Fall season.
I prefer the thermo-meter to post a 75+ reading. I also would like to hear gulls squawking and waves crashing, and pick up the slightest whiff of cocoa butter in the humid air. Add the clinking sound of ice in a glass to all that wishing...
Next, she says, "Hey baby...look at these puppies!"
