Damn I love this warm weather! I like it hot and humid. The Houston area suits me just fine! Houston is the air-conditioned capital of the world. It is the restaurant capital of the world. And Texas is the babe capital of the world! There are more great titties here than any other locale, per capita! Used to be said that a champagne glass was molded after Marie Antoinette's breast, thus being the perfect shaped glass and breast....pshaw! More succinct is this thought...The number of Martini's drank are akin to women's breasts. One is not enough and three is too many!
Fishing the salt is gonna get better as it gets hotter. May will be a helluva month here on the Gulf coast! The beach water has been spiking at 70 degrees, bays at 70 on the surface. Wade fishing from a kayak is my preference and I use artificial lures. Artys might restrict my catch, but in a good way. I don't go after much else than specks, reds and flounder, and I like the bayside for those best. In the beach water, the surf, a Spanish Mackeral will turn me on..almost jerk that rod from my hand when they hit that silver fake at about 80 mph! I'm getting all tingly just thinking about it!
Camping in May will be great! It will be warm during the days, but the nights will be gorgeous. A campfire, good drink, cigars and a clear starry night. Can't wait for that! End of May, Memorial Day will be spent on a river somewhere, tubing, throwing jello-shots fot tit-shots...yeah, does it get any better? It's a tough life here...you should try it sometime!
And life goes on whether you participate in it or not. I'd rather be a participant. You can spend your entire life planning for these things then find out you just don't have the time, or the time isn't right. Something will always be there to hold you back...if you allow it. Grab some life, dammit!
The KingMacs have just started to make an appeanance but it doesn't ook like I am gonna get to go after them this year. I am in between boats and doubt that I will ever spend the bucks to get an offshore rif. But I am going to go fish the flasts tomorrow and maybe again Saturday if the tide and wind is right. Water temp is about 72 degrees-just right for the trout and reds and I may go on down around tarpon Springs Sat to see if I can get a snook for the frying pan. I like to get at least one a year to eat but mostly catch and release the snook. Flouder is hard to beat as well as the little black sea bass and mangrove snappers we catch around the pier pilings.
